If you have room to spare and money to burn, why not consider paying to develop a pool in your garden? While there are a number of drawbacks from having an outdoor pool in the UK, if you go that extra step you can have an outdoor heated pool which is both practical and enjoyable all year round, thereby eliminating a lot of those drawbacks. Outdoor pools are something which you see only very rarely in the UK, so you would certainly be bucking the trends if you decide to buy one for your own property.
The remaining drawbacks to installing a pool on your property are the amount of money which is required (which, admittedly, is substantial), the amount of maintenance that is required, and the ongoing costs of upkeep and replacement of equipment. While these have all been reducing as time has passed and technology has improved, we’re still a long ways away from being able to say they are no longer issues.
